The COMMAX DRC-8AC2 is an outdoor video intercom camera panel designed for apartment buildings with up to eight households. It features a color camera, is flush-mounted, and is compatible with COMMAX's "Fine View" series of indoor monitors. 
Features and functions
  • 8-button panel: Provides a separate call button for each of the eight apartments.
  • Color CCD camera: A 1/4" color CCD image device captures a wide viewing angle for a clear picture.
  • Night vision: Built-in LED lights provide vision in low-light conditions up to 1 meter.
  • Wide-angle lens: Captures a wide field of view, with a horizontal angle of 68º and vertical angle of 55º.
  • Two-way audio: Features a built-in microphone and speaker to enable communication between the visitor and the resident.
  • Weather-resistant casing: Made with a durable aluminum case that protects it from outdoor elements like rain and dust. Some merchants specify it is IP66 weather-resistant. However, one reseller notes it "requires protection against water and rain".
  • Flush-mounted design: Installs directly into the wall for a sleek and integrated appearance.
  • Door lock release: Allows for remote activation of an electric door strike (requires a separate power supply and is sold separately).
