The ZKTeco X7 is a compact, cost-effective standalone access control terminal that uses biometric fingerprint recognition, RFID cards, and passwords for authentication. It is designed for small- to medium-sized applications in offices, commercial buildings, and other facilities, and can operate without additional software. 
Features
  • Authentication methods: Supports fingerprint verification, 125kHz or 13.56MHz RFID cards, and 4-digit passwords.
  • User capacity: Can store up to 500 fingerprints and 500 cards. It also allows for up to 8 password groups.
  • Fingerprint algorithm: Utilizes the ZK Finger v10.0 algorithm for fast and accurate user identification.
  • Standalone operation: Manages user access and settings directly on the device using its keypad, so no PC or software is required for configuration.
  • Built-in interfaces: Includes a lock interface, door sensor, exit button, alarm, and doorbell. These can be connected to third-party electric locks and other devices to enhance security.
  • Tamper-resistant: Features an alarm that is triggered if the device is tampered with or dismantled.

How it works
The ZKTeco X7 access control system can function in several ways depending on the setup: 
  1. Verification: After a user is verified via fingerprint, RFID card, or password, the device sends a signal to unlock the connected electric lock.
  2. Door status monitoring: The door sensor can detect if a door is unexpectedly opened or not closed properly, and trigger an alarm if necessary.
  3. Emergency exit: The exit button allows for convenient door opening from the inside.
  4. Visitor access: Visitors can use the doorbell function to request entry.
