SPEEDFACE-V5L

The ZKTeco SpeedFace-V5L is a Linux-based hybrid biometric time and attendance and access control terminal. It features visible light facial recognition and also supports verification via palm, fingerprint, and password. The device's deep learning technology and anti-spoofing algorithm protect against fraudulent access attempts.

  • Facial and palm recognition: Uses enhanced visible light facial recognition and a 3-in-1 palm recognition system (palm shape, print, and vein).
  • Anti-spoofing: The anti-spoofing algorithm protects against attacks using printed photos, videos, and 3D masks.
  • Enhanced hygiene: The touchless facial and palm authentication is a hygienic method for access control.
  • Large capacity: According to zkteco.me, the terminal can store up to 6,000 face and fingerprint templates, 3,000 palm templates, and 10,000 cards. Some versions can optionally be expanded to 10,000 face and fingerprint templates.
  • Multiple verification methods: The device offers multiple ways to verify identity, including face, fingerprint, palm, card, and password.
  • 5-inch touch screen: The terminal is equipped with a 5-inch touch screen for user interaction.
  • Linux operating system: The device operates on a Linux-based system.
  • High-speed recognition: Fingerprint verification takes less than 0.3 seconds, palm verification takes less than 0.35 seconds, and facial recognition takes less than 1 second. 
Available variants
The SpeedFace-V5L has several variants with additional features, such as: 
  • SpeedFace-V5L [P]: Supports palm and fingerprint verification with mask detection.
  • SpeedFace-V5L [TI]: Adds thermal imaging temperature and mask detection for crowd control and health screening. Temperature measurement is for reference and not medical use.
  • SpeedFace-V5L [QR]: Incorporates a QR code scanner that can be integrated with turnstiles and barriers. It can also be compatible with EU Digital COVID Certificates. 
Connectivity and installation
The SpeedFace-V5L is a standalone device but can also be connected and integrated into a broader access control system. 
  • Communication: Offers various communication options, including TCP/IP, Wiegand input/output, RS485, and optional Wi-Fi.
  • Access control interface: It provides an interface for a third-party electric lock, door sensor, exit button, and alarm output.
  • Supported software: The device is compatible with ZKBioAccess, ZKBioSecurity, and easy TimePro software, depending on the model.
