FR1200
The ZKTeco FR1200 is an external fingerprint and RFID card reader used as a slave device in access control systems. Featuring an IP65-rated weatherproof casing, it is built for use in both indoor and outdoor environments.
Features and specifications
- Sensor: The device is equipped with a ZK small-sized optical fingerprint sensor and runs on the ZKFinger VX10.0 algorithm for high-accuracy biometric authentication.
- Card authentication: It comes standard with a 125 kHz ID card module but also offers an optional 13.56 MHz IC card module.
- Communication: It connects to a master controller or terminal via an RS485 communication interface. Some versions also support the OSDP (Open Supervised Device Protocol).
- Compatibility: The FR1200 is designed to work with ZKTeco's InBio Pro series and other biometric access controllers and standalone access control terminals.
- Security: Data transmitted from the reader is protected with AES128 encryption, though this can be disabled via software for specific deployment needs.
- Indicators: It provides visual and audible feedback for access acceptance and rejection using an LED and a buzzer.

- Power adapter not included: The device typically does not come with a power adapter, so a compatible 12V DC power supply must be purchased separately.
- Configuration: The full system requires a compatible ZKTeco controller (like the inBIO series) and additional accessories, such as an exit button or emergency break glass.
